Broomhill Community Library

We feel very lucky to still have our local library in Broomhill - it’s a wonderful resource serving the residents of Broomhill and beyond, offering opportunities for lifelong learning and wellbeing.

Broomhill Community Library is run as a co-delivered enterprise between Sheffield City Council and the Broomhill Community Trust, with the day-to-day running of the library undertaken by an amazing team of volunteers who also maintain the gardens, organise events and raise funds.

Aside from the library services and technical resources available, there’s a weekly schedule of events, from reading and creative writing groups to gardening and crafting, plus coffee mornings to help those new to the area meet new friends.

School visits are also encouraged (by appointment), with a host of activities to inspire reading.

If you’d like to find out more or have a few hours a week to volunteer, check out the BCL website below.
